8 feminine ways to be creative
As women we need creativity to stay in our power. We can literally create life within our bodies, it is natural for us. I am going to share with you 8 feminine ways to be creative to inspire you ✨
Lately i have been feeling very creative and when i get into these phases i always find that life feels so full and amazing. It is also when i make the most money and a time when i am always receiving great ideas and messages from God/the Universe. This is no coincidence because as women this is our natural state.
When we are not feeling creative or creating, that is when life seems to feel stuck and stagnant for us. Think about it, we have the ability to create a whole human inside of us. Creation is our natural state and receiving is what we are here for.
Why women need creativity
Feminine energy isn’t meant to be structured and rigid, it is meant to be fluid, intuitive and expressive. When women create we soften and slow down. We also disconnect from problems outside of ourselves and then that opens us up to become a channel for receiving.
When women experience negative emotions they build up as stress, anxiety, and even guilt, shame, and jealousy. When we are in creativity, we can find a way to release those emotions and let them go, which puts us back into our natural state.
There is something so attractive about a women who creates . She is present, she is expressive, and she is in her power. This makes her a powerful magnet for everything that she is trying to manifest. Her energy becomes magnetic.
8 Feminine ways to be creative
Creativity doesn’t have to look like painting on a canvas or making something physical, unless that is your creative outlet. It can be an energy that you bring into your everyday life. Here are 8 ways to bring creativity into your life:
One: Create beauty in your home
Rearrange your home, style your coffee table, or put a beautiful bouquet of flowers in a pretty vase.
Your space is a reflection of your energy and when you create beauty in it, you are creating an environment that you are in harmony with. It will put you into your natural feminine, receiving energy.
If you are going through a stagnant time in your life, try this:
Rearrange one room, or move some decor to different rooms - this will help to shift energy that is stagnant around you.
Buy one piece of decor or artwork that you can add to your home to signal change.
Add a plant to your living room to bring in new energy and life.
Two: Cooking
I love to cook! I love creating my own recipes, but i also love finding ones that i want to try and then shopping for the ingredients. There is something that makes me feel so good when i feed the people i love. In fact, the highest compliment i can ever receive is that my food is good. It is the best thing for me.
If you are new to cooking, or you don’t enjoy it, even just plating food on pretty dishes is still being creative.
I feel like for many women cooking can be a task, something that must be done and then the joy is taken out of it. There i days when i feel like this, but here is a ritual i do:
I choose a simple recipe like my steak recipe
I put all of my ingredients out on my kitchen island so that i am not searching for them
I play some music, or sometimes i play a movie as i am cooking - for me it makes the time pass faster!
I plate the food on my best dishes even on normal days
Three: Get ready with intention
Getting ready for your day, isn’t just about getting ready, it is incredibly creative because in your clothes, hair, and make up, you are expressing yourself. It is all a form of art and tells the world who you are by the energy of what you are wearing and how you look.
If you are putting in 0 effort in how you present yourself, how are you valuing yourself? You are missing out on a simple way to get yourself into creative and receiving energy.
Take your time, get ready for your day with intention.
Four: Journaling
I usually start my day off with a good journaling session. I don’t try and be structured, some days i just put pen to paper and write what comes up as i know that these are the things that i need to get out of my mind. Not only do the negative thoughts come out, but also some of my most creative ideas come out. These are usually the ideas that bring me the most income or joy because they are like little messages from my higher self about what to create next.
Add journaling to your morning routine - Let your mind take over and don’t try and control what you write. Also, don’t worry about how neat you write or worry about spelling mistakes! This is just about organizing and rearranging your thoughts.
Five: Move your body daily
This not only helps you to shift any negative emotions but will help you to feel good and put you into creative energy. Try not to have a strict workout routine, as a feminine energy, strict workout routines are not meant for us. See what you feel like doing that day.
I work out every morning but each day is different. Sometimes i will do a half an hour walk on the treadmill and other days i will lift weights. When i try and stick to a schedule is when i find it hard to stay on track because i get bored and also my cycle affects my energy.
Plan to move everyday, but let it be fun and easy.
Six: Hobbies
Hobbies for women are so important. I was watching The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills the other day and as they were all arguing and fighting, i just thought ‘these women need hobbies’. When our minds are engaged and focused, outside noise seems to just fall away. Plus, when we are acting on our hobbies, we are in natural creativity.
Some hobbies you might consider:
Gardening (this is one of mine) for beginners read this
Playing a sport of some kind
Hiking in nature
Vintage shopping
Painting and art
Writing or poetry
Photography
Volunteering
Home improvement
Blogging about something you love
Pick one or two hobbies and make it your whole personality, i promise you, you won’t have time for anything negative and you will be naturally in creative mode.
Seven: Work with nature
This can be anything from gardening to arranging flowers, or simply sitting outside and being present.
Nature is the definition of creativity and when you connect with it - that energy flows into you.
I like to believe that mother nature is the ultimate feminine energy. Nature just knows what to do without force or control and there is magic in that when we stop and notice it.
Eight: Meditation
Meditation isn’t something we usually associate with creativity, but hear me out: When we sit in silence and clear our minds, we receive intuitive nudges, or signs from the universe, about what we can create.
Most of my best ideas have come from either journaling or meditation and the best part about it, is it is free!
We don’t need to spend hundreds of dollars on a special course to find our purpose, we just have to get quiet and receive the ideas.
Try this:
Journal out anything bothering you in your mind
Sit quietly for 10 - 20 minutes (depending on how much time you have). Morning time is best as your day hasn’t started yet.
Put on some meditation music if you need, or just focus on the sounds around you
Let thoughts come up, but then let them float away
Breathe deeply in through the nose, hold for a moment, then release
See if you can listen to you intuitive voice and hear the ideas coming up - this is your higher self
You can even write out the great ideas that come up and see if you can do one simple action towards them today.
