If you want naturally radiant skin, you don’t need many products at all. Some of the most effective beauty treatments come from simple plant oils that have been used for centuries.

I looove natural oils. I use them on every part of my body. They make me feel so luxurious and glowing. From the second i step out of the shower, i lather my body with coconut oil mixed with vitamin E, and before i go to bed, i put rosehip oil on my face before i do my gua sha routine. I just think they are so amazing and work so well.

Natural oils are rich in vitamins, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids, these deeply nourish the skin. They help support collagen, protect the skin barrier, and keep your complexion soft and glowing.

Whether you want to reduce dryness, smooth fine lines, or simply give your skin a healthy glow, these are some of the best natural oils for glowing, youthful skin.

Rosehip oil

Rosehip oil is one of the most loved, natural skincare oils because it helps brighten and rejuvenate skin. It is my absolute favorite for a face oil.

It is rich in:

  • Vitamin A

  • Vitamin C

  • Essential fatty acids

Benefits of rosehip oil

  • Helps reduce the appearance of fine lines

  • Brightens skin

  • Improves skin texture

  • Supports skin regeneration

It is a lightweight and absorbs quickly, which makes it great for everyday use and it won’t clog pores.

Apply 2 - 3 drops on clean skin and massage into face and neck before bed.

Argan oil

Often called “liquid gold,” argan oil has been used for centuries in Moroccan beauty rituals.

It contains vitamin E that help protect the skin from environmental damage.

Benefits of argan oil

  • Deeply hydrates the skin

  • Improves skin elasticity

  • Softens fine lines

  • Can also be used to hydrate hair

Argan oil is especially good for people who struggles with dry or mature skin.

Jojoba oil

Jojoba oil is unique because it closely resembles the skins natural sebum. This allows it to absorb easily without leaving the skin feeling greasy.

Benefits of jojoba oil

  • Balances oil production

  • Hydrates the skin

  • Helps prevent blocked pores

  • Soothes sensitive skin

Because it is so gentle, jojoba oil works well for all skin types, including acne prone skin.

Best used after washing your face to put the moisture back in.

Coconut oil

Coconut oil is a natural moisturizer that helps protect the skins barrier and lock in hydration.

It is rich in fatty acids and has antibacterial properties.

Benefits of coconut oil

  • Deeply moisturizes skin

  • Helps repair the skin barrier

  • Smooths rough patches

  • Supports healthy skin hydration

Works best for dry skin or body care, as it can feel heavier on the face.

Tips for using natural oils on your skin

If you are new to natural skincare oils, here are a few tips that can help you get the best results:

  • Always apply oils to clean skin

  • Use 2-3 drops as a little goes a long way

  • Apply oils to slightly damp skin to help lock in moisture

  • Use oils as part of your nighttime skincare routine

You can also mix different oils together to create your own custom blend.

A simple natural glow ritual

I love a good ritual!

If you want glowing skin, consistency is more important than having a complicated routine.

Try this ritual:

  1. Gently cleanse your face, you can check out some DIY face masks here.

  2. Mist your skin with rosewater or a hydrating toner.

  3. Apply a few drops of your favorite natural oil.

  4. Massage the oil into your skin using circular motions.

How to make rosewater at home

Rosewater has been used in beauty rituals for centuries. It is known for its gentle, soothing properties and can help you hydrate your skin.

Rosewater is so easy to make!

Ingredients

  • 1 - 2 cups of fresh rose petals

  • 2- 3 cups of distilled water

  • A small pot with a lid

  • A spray bottle for storage (glass is best)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the rose petals under cool water to remove any dirt.

  2. Pour in the distilled water to the pot and add the rose petals.

  3. Cover the pot with the lid and simmer on low heat for about 15-20 minutes. The petals will lose their color as the water absorbs their natural oils.

  4. Cool the mixture completely and strain out the petals using a fine mesh or cheesecloth.

  5. Pour the rosewater into your spray bottle.

You your rosewater after cleansing and toning your face, to refresh your skin during the day, or to soothe irritated skin.

Store your rosewater in the fridge and use it within 1-2 weeks.
